anyways.. here are some pics from my last trip back home. ;)

DR Park. The best place for jogging, tai chi, football in the evening, and also photoshoot i guess. it’s my frequent playground when im young and it didn’t change much throughout the years. :)

ABC @ Ipoh Stadium. This is where i learn my driving from lol. The stadium is so huge you can basically just go round and round and round wtf. Buthenagain, the best ABC is no longer the one from the stadium. I still prefer “tong shui kai” in front of Sam Tet school where they serve ABC that taste heavenlyyyy!!! Another cold desert that i like from tong shui kai is the “oi yok ping/ai yu ping?” which is some sort of orange jelo served with lime… mmm :) very nice for ipoh’s relatively all year summer weather.

Lou wong nga choi kai @ jalan yau tet shin. I always get confused with the way to get here due to the night market at the area, but i think Lou wong is overrated and the “hor fun” tasted bland. =.= the best time to eat here is when it is not packed, which is highly unlikely :/ … to be honest, as an ipohrean, i have not tasted Ong kee before.. =.= i wonder if it’s better than lou wong.

Dai Shu Geok @ Jalan King Pasir Pinji!!! hahaa.. i seriously like this place a lot. and it’s super cheap to eat here as well. The best time to eat here is around 11-12pm when all the “liu” is just fresh out from the wok. :P hehe.. i know there’s another one in Kwong Heng gunung rapat which i have yet to try…

Gunung Lang, a recreational spot in ipoh which is used to be famous for eagle spotting. :/ Ipoh is famous with caves… mountains… temples.. etc.. Better visit em before they’re gone tho!

Foh San dim sum, which have recently been renovated into a two storey building. =.=” Gila besar.. =.= But always go early for foh san… It’s not decent to stare at people while they eat so that they get off their table :/

Moven Peak. Best place to have reunions.. gatherings… chilling out.. etc.. I love their dinner meals! i must say this is my regular spot everytime i go back to ipoh. I also like assam house which serves YUMMMMMMMYYYYY asam fish hahaha. forgot the name of the restaurant famous for thai food… =.=

- La pause cafe (i’m not sure if this still exist)
- Fun House? (the little cafe before the carpark in ipoh parade).. cant remember the name
- Maria’s – best dessert
- Castle Roca .. nice place for western food

so to say, i lost both my grandmothers. my chinese new years will never be the same ever again.

Presenting my new canvas shoe from Topshop. ^^ :P Somehow im a flattie and a canvas freak. It’s a cheap shoe and it’s comfortable as hell. Now im thinking of getting the same pair in a diff colour. My white canvas from TS is now all dirty and im lazy to wash it. Although i have a closet of shoes.. i still wear back the same old comfy pairs. Flats are for practical girls and i choose to be one. :P

woke up early today but i end up comtemplating going to work. was in a panic mode in the end knowing i have wasted too much time thinking whether to get up or not. I dont know why im getting so much panic attacks lately.. and when i do, i sweat profusely and keep doing everything at the same time and then end up getting a bruise somewhere. the other day i had an important meeting early morning.. i placed my alarm clock to get up at 5 but because i slept late the night before.. i end up waking up at 7. Knowing that im late i straight away got into another panic attack. I was trying to wear my skirt and blouse and shoes and shut down my laptop and brush my teeth all at the same time. omg. there were 1000000 million posibilities running in my head at that time. i ran like hell and when i was closing the door i realize my sweat have ruin my makeup completely. i couldnt walk right; if you were a stranger and ran into me you must have thought that i just ran away from asylum or something. the next thing i know.. i trip and fell from walking too fast. whathehell. had some scratches at my shin which i thought was rather weird but the highlight of it was my bag and stuffs all drop everywhere.. and because i dint zip my bag.. all the contents flew out like fireworks wtf and from there.. panic attack no #2 launched and i went fuck fuck fuck fuck and kept throwing everything back into my bag like a giant dustbin and before you know it… i overlooked a few stuffs which were strewn all over the place.

bah. thankfully… some good samaritan wtf saw what happened and placed it back in my mailbox. :( .. i am such a klutz i hate it so much sometimes. :( 

when i got into my car i realize my hands were ice cold and i was sweating like mad. i had to blast the aircon at max to calm myself down. and what i remember most is telling myself in the car to cool down.. phew. it was mad.. how come im like this now omg.. :( this is so disturbing.. i kept thinking of what happened that day over and over because this is the first time i was so disorganized .. and super clumsy.. :(

anyhoo.. to get my mind off from thinking bout this… cindy got me remiscing some good old songs from the past..

Remember the 4 Canto Singer Kings (4 dai tin wong?) namely Aaron Kwok, Leon Lai, Andy Lau and Jacky Cheung?

Well.. i wasnt much a fan of them when i was young.. maybe cause i was not in chinese school but when i was young, i am more of a Leon Lai fan although i have never heard any of his songs. But when i was having my music exams.. my organ teacher chose a few Jacky cheung arrangements for me and this is one of the songs that i played during my Grade 6 exams. Aced it. :)

i played this in my organ G6 exam… My best arrangement so far… :) 

I remember my brothers from Chinese school were particularly a big fan of Jacky. During the weekend, the house will be on a repetitive mode of Jacky’s songs. and in a way..i kinda started listening to his song especially when i started colls and have a bestie who’s totallly a BIG JACKY FAN.. she intro-ed a few more songs from him to me and also taught me the pin yin lyrics(cause i dont speak or understand mandarin)

oh well.. i was on a frenzy listening to the playlist of Jacky in youtube once again.. here are a few of his songs that i particularly like.

on a diff yoga note..

i can now do TOLASANA!!! omg… :) i am so happy.
I must say i really like Foo’s classes in CF. He teaches really well and shows us the right techniques and preparatory sequences for all his classes. Each of his class is different and not repetitive!
To master this pose, always bend your body forward, then lift your knees up first before lifting your buttocks up.. strong arms is the key.. try to focus on the abs and not on the hands.

i love yoga :) i learn something new everyday… :)

Last week i have been approached at least 3 times by my high school junior and senior. Conversation normally starts from

“You look familiar. Are you from Ipoh?”
“TCS? Gosh can you remember me?”
“Are you JENIFER?”

Makes me think about what kind of person i am in high school. Popular? Lonely? Friendly? Brainiac? haha.. But without a doubt, my high school days are the best time of my life. Sometimes i think back and realize that … There’s so many people that i’ve cross paths with, wonder how they are doing now, would they still recognize me when they see me. Will they still think of me, when they think back of certain places, things, etc. I know i definately would. 

Which i guess is the very reason i started blogging. To make sure one day i wont forget those that i’ve actually met, exchange views, work together with, hug and kissed, love and cherished… all those memories are too precious to forget.

And to Tarcisians out there.. i hope all of us do stay in touch always. Life is too short to be to full of ourselves only :) The same goes to Michaelians @ SMI ipoh,  Andersonians IPOH, ACS Ipoh, MGS Ipoh, BG Convent Ipoh, Sam Tet Ipoh, AMC Ipoh, MC Ipoh … I know a handful of you people from my days in Girl Guides. Some pretty memorable events, gatherings, competitions, games and also wild dances, .. i hope one day we’ll meet again. :)

Dah lama saya duduk terfikir.. adakah saya ingin mengenang kembali nostalgia menyambut Hari Kemerdekaan Malaysia. Ingin sekali saya tidak memikirkan akan isu ini tetapi otak kecil ini asyik sahaja, keliru, rasa tidak senang hati, dan mungkin sedikit rasa sedih.. akan apa yang sedang berlaku di dalam negara ini.

Saya ingat lagi…

Tahun lepas, lagu sudirman 31 ogos berkumandang selama satu bulan dalam kereta proton saya. Kereta kebanggaan saya yang telah terbakar dan tidak lagi exist secara fizikal ataupun dalam hati saya lagi. Saya ingat lagi… betapa bangganya saya terhadap negara ini.. terhadap segala pembangunan yang ada, mahupun sedikit, betapa gembiranya rasa hati apabila saya menyanyi lagu keranamu malaysia dalam kereta dengan kuat dan dengan semangat berkobar kobar walaupun passenger saya rasa yang saya ini sungguh aneh sekali. Tidak mengapa untuk saya, asalkan saya dapat berkongsi rasa patriotik ini dengan kenal-kenalan saya… saya rasa saya telah menunaikan tanggungjawab saya sebagai rakyat Malaysia.

Satu tahun telah berlalu.

Banyak yang telah berlaku.

Banyak juga, yang telah saya lalui. Dari politik, Media massa, Ketidakadilan, Polis, Rasuah, Saman, Kenaikan harga barang, etc.. 

Banyak yang kamu tidak ketahui. banyak… yang tidak dapat saya perkatakan.

Jika dikenangkan tahun lepas… mahupun tahun tahun sebelumnya.. bulan ogos adalah bulan dimana jalur gemilang berkibar megah di mana mana sahaja. Saya sungguh gembira melihat bendera malaysia berkibar dan kian menyuruh kawan kawan saya membeli jalur gemilang.. dan mempamerkannya di kereta. 

Tahun ini keadaan telah berubah. Saya tidak menyangka keadaan adalah begitu teruk sehingga di sepanjang jalan.. hanya satu atau dua kereta sahaja yang mempunyai bendera Msia. Ia sungguh sedih sekali melihatkan ia adalah bulan menyambut kemerdekaan negara.

Apakan daya.

Saya sendiri tidak lagi… mempunyai semangat patriotik untuk negara saya, apatah lagi orang lain.

Saya rasa jelak.. apabila isu politik diperkatakan. Saya rasa benci, apabila perkataan polis digunakan. Saya rasa sedih… apabila isu kereta dimulakan.

Adakah ia satu kesalahan? Untuk mempunyai perasaan sebegini untuk negara sendiri? 

Kekadang saya terfikirkan, untuk memerintah negara tidaklah senang. Untuk menjamin perpaduan kaum bukan sekadar dengan membaca buku sejarah.. Untuk mengenang dan mengingati dan memahami makna kemerdekaan, bukan dengan hanya mengibar bendera sahaja….

Saya percaya, di sebalik semua rasa benci dan geram dalam hati saya, masih ada satu sudut.. di mana saya percaya keadaan akan berubah satu hari nanti.Di mana keyakinan saya terhadap pemimpin pemimpin negara akan kembali. Di mana satu hari nanti.. akan saya kibarkan jalur gemilang dan berasa bangga lagi…Dan untuk semua ini berlaku… saya percaya ia bukan mudah, dan banyak akan berlaku, sebelum air tenang semula di mana keamanan dan perpaduan kaum akan kembali.

Mungkin negara tidak lagi cantik berseri seri.

Mungkin negara tidak lagi membangun pesat dengan kemajuan.

Tetapi..

Inilah tanahairku. 

Mari kita berdoa, supaya kita jaya makmur dan bahagia, hidup aman, kekal dan abadi.

Malaysia adalah tanah air kita. Kita harus percaya, dan memperjuangkan apa yang telah dikecapi, kemerdekaan kita.

Makna merdeka, lebih dari apa apa pun di negara ini. Kita harus ingat, bagaimana kita pernah dijajahi, nenek moyang yang pernah melalui susah perit hidup, untuk kehidupan yang aman kita ada hari ini, kita harus ingat… semua ini tidak senang untuk kita perolehi.

Selamat Menyambut Hari Kemerdekaan ke-51, Malaysia.

Tidak akan saya lupa… apa yang telah saya tuliskan pada hari ini, kerana saya akan mengenang kembali pada tahun tahun akan datang… apa yang telah membentuk negara Malaysia menjadi lebih maju lagi.

i played 2d street fighter, xmen, mortal combat, and some other chinese samurai fighting games on the pc at home with my brother.

He’ll be player 1, I’ll be player 2. We’d screw each other’s player by pushing each other while playing or purposely hitting each other’s key. We had to change the home pc keyboard frequently because me and my bro spoils it everytime by playing these kinda games. All the hot keys and combo punches were invented by banging the keyboard like no tomorrow and then winning the game, playing till pass midnight.

am playing it back now, my colleague just gave me the emulator. Brings back good memories. (:

ahs…….. those were the days :)

another game i love playing with my pc back in the younger days is Prehistorik 2. Not many people have heard of it i guess.. BUt it’s the BESTTTTTTTTTTT game i have ever played in my life. The one game i manage to win until level 10 and eventually win the whole thing. hahaa.. It’s a DOS game but i wonder whether i can install and play this with vista. hurm.
